TYLER KRASOWSKI
Tyler Joseph Krasowski was born in Minneapolis in 1985, and grew up in Chicagoland. He received a BFA degree in Drawing at the University of Montana in 2009. Following graduation, Tyler travelled the country as part of Drive-By Press. He then took a job working for artist Tony Fitzpatrick until 2013 and is now a full time practicing artist in Chicago. Krasowski has exhibited nationally and internationally, with his work being included in museum collections. Commissions include a print for Pearl Jam’s 2010 world tour. He has served as a guest lecturer and visiting artist at a number of colleges and universities including The Art Academy in Tallinn, Estonia.
Statement: When not creating images, Krasowski's so-called purpose is to locate obsolete neighborhood abstractions or antiquated rural myths. He also takes cartoon clouds very seriously.
